This unique renovation began as a multi family home that needed to be converted into a single-family residence. Pre-construction involved a great deal of coordination with the homeowner, building commissioner, and zoning board to rezone the property.
We removed the roof and dormers, added a second story, and turned this cape into a colonial-style home. The foundation was extended to accommodate a new open concept gourmet kitchen and we added a 2-foot cantilever to gain more space on the second floor. The additional square footage gave room for a private office for the working parents. The result: one great home that’s twice as nice for the whole family.
