Traditional becomes tiresome when you don’t have enough space. But with skill and creativity, you can change everything while sticking to an original footprint. We reimagined all four levels of this home to maximize square footage. By adding three dormers to a mansard-style roof and converting pull-down attic steps into a functional staircase, we completely transformed the attic space. It now has a second office, a full bath, and a playroom for the kids. Meanwhile, the basement became a family room with a half-bath along with a full laundry room. The main floor maintained its architectural beauty, yet experienced a complete renovation
All in all, the family gained 1200 sqft of living space: Room to breathe, with breathtaking style.
